Accessed by water taxi from Marsh Harbour, Blue Moon Cottage was the first schoolhouse built in White Sound on Elbow Cay in Hope Town, Bahamas. It has been renovated into a bright two bedroom, Bahamian beach cottage and decorated in bright island fashions that are sure to charm.
Located on the quiet south end of Elbow Cay, Blue Moon Cottage is a 2 bedroom 2 bath renovated school house. It is decorated in Bahamian beach style, fun and a bit funky with everything you need for a fun filled tropical vacation.
Follow the winding path through lush native growth to Atlantic Sunrise beach. Discover naturally shaped beach glass and shells in tide pools, catch a wave on your surfboard or soak up the sun on a virtually private beach.
Sunrises from the east over the Atlantic Ocean and sunsets from the west over the Abaco Sea. The skies glorious colors and lush sea breezes are relaxing any time of the day. A perfect place to dine, nap or hang out.
When you visit Hope Town and Blue Moon Cottage, you will immediately relax. From oversized sliding glass doors in the living area you can view the beautiful Abaco Sea and feel the fresh breeze from the Atlantic ocean - both just feet away from our large decks.
Relax in hammocks and comfortable deck furniture. There is no hustle and bustle. No crazy schedules. Rent a golf cart or boat to explore the island and waters or just hang out at your home away from home!
With ample seating inside, you will have plenty of room to put your feet up and relax, stretch out on the couch, respond to an email, or play some board games. Large sliding glass doors bring the outdoors in.
The true beauty of Blue Moon Cottage is outside! Featuring a large, grassy side yard, lounge area with a couch & chairs, and a dining area there isn't much reason to be inside! And did we mention the Flying Deck!
Blue Moon Cottage has an open kitchen overlooking the living room to allow you to prepare the days catch while still being part of the party! The kitchen also features an island with a gas stove and oven as well as a breakfast bar.
Both of the bedrooms at Blue Moon Cottage feature en suite bathrooms, dedicated air conditioning, exterior access, high quality linens and are decorated in a fun, funky, Bahamian eclectic manner.
